Etnografiska museet ligger vackert och lugnt beläget på Djurgården, endast 15 minuter från Stockholms central.

I museets entréplan ligger Hjalmar Stolpesalen, museets stora hörsal som har upp till 150 sittplatser. Stolpesalens bakre del har en väggfast gradäng som med fördel kan användas som sittplats. Den främre delen av lokalen kan möbleras efter önskemål.
